Many agencies use a rotation of unlicensed caseworkers to complete home studies. You may not know who you'll be assigned, or how much experience that person has.

With Adoption Support Services of Florida, there is no rotation. Christen personally handles every home study, every home visit, every report, and every post-placement visit. Since 1996, we have personally completed home studies for over 1,500 families, and every one of those families worked directly with an experienced, licensed professional.

This is not a small detail. Having one trusted professional who knows your family's name, your story, and your goals makes an enormous difference in the quality and comfort of the entire adoption process.

Dual Licensure

You're Covered No Matter What Your Adoption Requires

Not all adoption circumstances are the same, and the licensure requirements for a home study can vary based on the type of adoption.

Some adoption situations require a home study completed by a licensed child-placing agency. Others specifically require one completed by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Adoption Support Services of Florida holds both credentials:

  • Adoption Support Services of Florida is a licensed child-placing agency, licensed by the State of Florida
  • Christen Hartig is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

This dual licensure means you are fully covered even if your circumstances change mid-process, something that can happen more often than people expect in adoption.

Our streamlined process means most families get their paperwork submitted within two to four weeks. When time is critical, expedited home study services are available, and most are completed within hours after all paperwork is received. Some families have received a fully approved home study within a week of beginning.

We charge no application fees, no travel expenses, and has no hidden costs. Christen will travel anywhere in Florida for your home visit at no additional charge. Forwarding your completed home study to an agency or attorney? No charge for that either.

We offer reasonable pricing because we believe families pursuing adoption deserve access to high-quality, professional service without being nickel-and-dimed at every turn.
